Plethora of Pictures...

Sunday, we dropped Joe off at the airport.  He had to get back to work in Boise, but Mariam was able to stay through Thursday.  Mariam and I were able to get up early and hit the pavement before it go too hot outside.  After getting home from our run, every morning started with some breakfast and then a walk outside with Sedona.  We would just let her toddle all over and we just followed.  It is so fun to watch her discover and see new things! She is so smart and such a curious little babe.

Our days consisted of yummy food and lots of lounging and pool time....lots of pictures coming up!!

Thursday evening, Austin took Mariam to the airport and Sedona and I were on our own again.  It was sad. Sedona really enjoys having visitors and gets tired of boring ol' mom...even though I try really hard to be fun!!  We watched one of her "shows" to try and help soothe her sad little heart.  She woke up Friday morning asking for Mimi.  On our walk, she was looking for her, yelling, "Mimi! Mimi!" everywhere we went.  It broke my heart.  She will be okay, though, and I think I will too.  We are so excited for our trip to WY/ID in just a few weeks.  She is going to have so much fun with her Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and her Grannie and Grandpa Teichert, and then again with Mimi and Jojo and she gets to see Sadie and Markie, too!  I really miss my family and I CANNOT WAIT to hug them all!!

Ingrid's and the OKC Memorial

We love Ingrids...the place where they do Dance 'n' Dine...yeah, that's the one.  We didn't hit up the dancing this time, but we did head out there Saturday after Austin got done with work.  The food was Delish!  The people there are always so nice and this time they gave Sedona a free sugar cookie that was decorated so cute!  She looked adorable munching that thing down...

A few years ago, my Dad was in OKC on a Power School trip (I believe) and he took the opportunity to go to the memorial they built for the OKC Bombing that happened in April of 1995.  He encouraged me to go see it, saying that it was really neat and worth the time.  I really wanted to go, but it isn't really Austin's "thing" so I figured I would go alone before one of Sedona and I's many trips to the Zoo.  Joe and Mariam were interested in seeing it, though, and we were pretty close to it when we were at Ingrid's. So, we went on over.

It really is worth the time.  It was gorgeous!  I couldn't snap a very good picture of the reflecting pool, so I didn't have one to post that would really explain what it looks like.  We had a good time learning more about what happened that day and the symbolisms behind the different parts of the memorial.  What a great tribute to those victims, rescue workers, and survivors of that horrible crime.

Sedona was well-behaved and actually didn't try to get into the reflecting pool at all...which I was totally shocked by.  But we did spend a lot of time chasing her around as she wanted NOTHING to do with her stroller...it was fun for us all, though, and she slept peacefully on the way home ;-)

"Amm-ools" Translation: Animals

Of course, a visit from Mimi and Jojo wouldn't be complete without another trip to the Zoo for the Diva.  She loves the Zoo, and everytime we get in the car she asks for the "amm-ools", which means she wants to go to the Zoo.  It was a sweltering 100F outside, but we braved it anyway and made sure to hit the splash pad at the end so we could cool off!

 Watching the bear swim...

The otters seemed to "play" with Sedona, and she LOVED it!

It looks like she's being sassy here, but she is really just squealing with delight.  It was so cute!

Standing in one of the many mist-ers they have around.

Trips to the Zoo always tucker her out.  She drinks a bottle and goes right to sleep and will sleep the whole way home.  It's nice, and she always looks so cute sleeping with her little binkie in her mouth.

Walking, Walking!

Joe and Mariam arrived here on a Wednesday evening and it was HOT and HUMID! Thursday morning delt us an un-expected, yet totally welcomed, deck of cards.  It was rainy and relatively COOL for OKC this time of year.  It was the "calm before the storm" really, because it is HOT HOT HOT, now!
Rain means puddles and puddles mean fun for baby!  There just happened to be a nice big puddle at the end of our sidewalk.  So, they went walking....

...and Sedona wandered occasionally, but not too far from the puddle. It always called her back!

Of course, when she was done, she came inside to "warm-up" and have some snacks...cute little bug ;-)

Jojo and Mimi Came to Visit!!

Austin's parents, Joe and Mariam, come visit us every year at our "summer destinations."  It is so nice to have visitors! It helps break up the summer and keeps me from getting so homesick...until they LEAVE, and then it hits hard. Anyway, here are some pictures from the day they arrived in OKC.
Austin and Sedona waiting "patiently" for Mimi and Jojo.

For his birthday, Austin wanted Sushi! So, we went straight from the airport to a Sushi restraunt north of OKC.  I think it was called Sumo Sushi.  Austin and Joe had done their research for DAYS, making sure we were really going to go to a good place. Nothing is as good as GOOD Sushi, but nothing is as BAD as bad Sushi, either.  It was really good, so we left with our bellies full and smiles on our faces!  And the little Diva was just so happy to have her Mimi and Jojo!! They are quite the little trio.....

Sulli's HOME!!!!

I wasn't going to do this blog post because I felt it right that someone who was actually THERE should do it (ahem....Taffy....Tami....Livi.....Tess.....???)  Anyway, these are pics that Tyson sent me via his phone.  Thanks, Tys! I ALMOST felt like I was there :-)

Sulli and Owen's first time meeting each other.  July will be the first time Sedona and Sulli will meet, as well!!
