Wedding and a Baby Blessing

The first weekend back home was a great one! We had my little brother's wedding and a nephew's baby blessing to attend.  It was a really long weekend, but it was a great weekend!!

Sulli and Michelle are perfect for each other. Seriously. I am so glad to have Michelle be part of our family. I have been lucky to have her in Rexburg while Sulli was on his mission. I was able to start a relationship with her and get to know her a little better. I always said it would be hard for me to watch my brothers get married because I always felt there was no one out there "good enough" for them.  I think that's fairly normal for a sister to feel that way.  However, Michelle is better than "good enough."  I love her! She is so sweet and is so much fun. I think she is a great addition to our family and I hope her family feels the same way about Sulli.  Their wedding day was marvelous and I am so glad we were able to be there!

We did A LOT of driving over the weekend and Sedona did so well!! Really, she is becoming such a better traveler. We had her "show" (Beauty and the Beast) playing for her at all times and she was happy as a lark.  She rarely slept, but we are getting used to that.

On Sunday, we all (except for the honey-mooning Newly-weds) headed over to Fort Bridger for my nephew Brady's baby blessing.  I didn't get any pics of the kids playing together, and I am so mad about that! But, I did take a picture of Sedona asleep. At church. That never happens. Never. Seriously. I think she was an infant the last time that happened.  But here's proof that she was exhausted and that miracles DO happen!!

Back in the 'Burg

First things first. Sedona and I needed hair cuts sooooo badly and we were finally back where Traci could work her magic on our mops!

Sedona loves her Nala and her walks.  So, we went on a walk one morning and I got some super cute pics of her. Can I just say, it is nice to be back where we need a jacket in the mornings and evenings?

Our apartment complex is so nice. Our apartment's living space is pretty tiny, but overall it's clean and it has really nice appliances and fantastic storage space! I really like it here.  The complex has is own play equipment and Sedona LOVES to go and play every day.

I hate it when she falls asleep right when we are headed home from errands.  She thinks her 5-minute cat-nap was sufficient. Grrrr.....

Adjusting to a new place means we have some pretty long nights at first.  I woke up to go on a run and this is what I found:

This is what they looked like when I got back:
We are so excited to be back in Rexburg.  School starts this coming Monday and I think we are ready for it!

Randoms...

We headed back to OKC for three more weeks before moving back to Idaho.
Sedona loves soda and asks for it by name, "soloo....soloo..." over and over again. I'm not sure if it's cute or annoying, but it's proof that she knows what she wants and she usually always gets it.

We made one last trip to the Zoo and made it in time to see the giraffes get fed.  She looks fairly interested here, but when one of their LONG tongues got too close, she totally over it.

Those three weeks seemed to go by so slowly, but really, before we knew it we were on the airplane headed back to Idaho for good.  Here is some proof that she is getting better at sleeping in strange places...

She's a wild sleeper and often wakes up with some pretty amazing bed-head.

She's not sleeping in this pic, but she sure does love her Gizmo and takes any and every opportunity he gives her to snuggle with him!

Sedona is obsessed with teddy bears. Before the end of the first day at Mimi and Jojo's, she had collected four and needed ALL of them with her when it was time to rest.

We found this little horse at a consignment shop and thought she would LOVE it.  She did. But it didn't really love her.  She couldn't get the thing to move!! So, we tied Gizmo's leash around its neck and off we went!

This pic is her totally excited about the fact that she climbed up on that table all by herself!!
After 5 days in Caldwell, we loaded up the truck and made the last stretch of our journey to Rexburg!!

Trip to ID

Our trip to Caldwell started out with a really great night's rest....as you can see.

She woke up to her best friend, Gizmo!  She calls him Gizzy and they are inseparable.  It's so cute!

She thought Gizz was following her because they were best buds, little did she know, he just wanted the grape she was holding in her little paw!

Trip to COSTCO, complete with a fun moment on the couches with Mimi and Aunt Sadie.

We all spent a lot of time out on the back deck just watching Sedona have a good 'ole time in her little pool. She was naked as a jail bird 90% of the time we were out there, so there aren't many pictures...sorry!

A summer trip to Jojo and Mimi's wouldn't be complete without a trip to the lake to ride the jet skis!! Aunt Markie claimed Sedona's first jet-ski ride when Sedona was only 2 months old.  I love the pic of the two of them together on the ski! Sedona did pretty well but was done after about 10 minutes.

The Cleveland County fair was going on that weekend, so we braved the heat and went.  I didn't get any good pics of her with the animals, but she LOVED them...until the sheep "baa-ed" and then she was scared. Those sheep are LOUD!!
We found a water "fountain" made by a firehose hanging from a firetruck ladder....anyway, what kid wouldn't want to run through that!?

Going for it!

....oh so worth it! We were all dying of heat and she was feeling fine after that!

Sedona learned to color!! She loved coloring pictures...for a minute, then she started coloring other things and we were done.

We had a great time on our two week "vacation" but we were ready to get back home to Austin!! We are so grateful that he works so hard and is willing to let us go and visit family while he stays behind and works.  He really is the best ever! I'm so glad we have family that want to see us and that we look forward to seeing! It sure makes life easy and happy.  Thanks for all the fun memories, family!

Trip to WYO!

I don't usually like to play "catch-up" with my blog, and I told myself I wasn't going to even try.  But then I started looking through my pictures and how stinking cute they were and decided I better "catch-up."
We started the two weeks off in WY for my family reunion. We had such a great time and wish it was longer.  We arrived in Cokeville on Friday evening and Sedona went straight for Grannie's amazing swing set! She loved it!

Saturday we spent the day getting ready for our reunion on Sunday.  I didn't take any pics on Sat or Sun, and I'm not sure what I was thinking! I was just having too much fun with everyone, I guess.  Sunday officially kicked off our reunion and everyone was there except Austin, who had to stay in OKC :(
Poor Sedona started to come down with the croup on Sunday morning and by evening, she was so sad and so sick.  Neither of us got much sleep that night and we made a quick trip to Montpelier Monday morning to see the doctor.  He confirmed that she did indeed have croup but said staying home from the fun wouldn't make it any better or any worse. So, we headed to the lake to meet the family.  We were there for a few hours before we packed up and headed up to the campsite.

Here's a great pic of Livi and Tess, and the back of Sedona's head...

By the end of the day on Monday, Sedona was so sick and my Dad had to go back to Cokeville to leave for Star Valley the next morning so Sedona and I hopped in with him to sleep in a bed and try to get her a decent night's sleep.  The doctor gave her a steroid to help her sleep and it worked! We got a good night's rest and were able to wake up in time to meet the family at the campsite before they went to Minitonka Caves!

We waited for a little over an hour before they could fit us all in the same tour group.  Sedona was happy ONLY when she could play with the water! Problem 1: if she got wet, she would be FREEZING in the 40F cave; Problem 2: none of the other cousins were allowed to play in it, so I couldn't let her do it, either.  She was NOT a happy camper!

Tuesday evening some of us siblings got to head over to Pickleville Playhouse to see a production of "The Hanging of el Bandito".  We had a little scare with the tickets and this pic is the relief on Tessa's face when it was in fact THEIR mistake (they were looking at the wrong day), not hers! So funny!!

We had such a GREAT time! We all had stomach aches and sore cheeks by the time it was over.(from laughing, of course!) It was such a great time. We sure missed Tami and Taffy!

My Mom watched Sedona while we were at Pickleville and upon returning home, we found them at the football field watching the YSA kids playing softball.  Don't let the picture fool you; she feels like crumbs...

By Friday she was feeling much better and we got to spend some time outside playing in the water and picking the flowers!

Satuday was the big 24th of July Celebration in Cokeville.  I ran the David Dayton 5k Memorial Fun Run.  I won my age-group for the women!!! I ran it in 24 minutes and 10 seconds. I was so excited!! Not bad for this old lady....I have to give Olivia the credit, though. I was only trying to keep up with her.
Saturday afternoon, we played at Grannie's house a little while with her cousins (don't ask me how I didn't get any pictures of these little sweeties together!!??) and then hit the road with Aunt Susie to Pocatello for the second leg of our trip.
Even though Sedona wasn't feeling well, it sure was great to get to spend time with my parents and all my siblings!! I really do have the greatest family.  I feel so blessed to have been able to be there and create more memories together!
